To Do Again

Missed an activity on the To Do list? That's okay! Here is a list of the "archived" stuff to do.

8/3-- What's better on Sunday than a sundae? Build a perfect ice cream treat with your caregiver or little one using one of these delicious recipes to get the week off to a sweet start!

8/4-- Help your superhero or little princess be as regal or powerful and cute as can be on this week's Make Believe Monday. Use these instructions to give yourself or your little ice princess a cloak inspired by Disney's Frozen or this video to make an easy cape for a special little guy!

*Measurements may need some changing.*

8/5-- Every little girl and boy needs a space to write down all their thoughts, dreams, and goals, both little and big. Put your own personal touch on your journal by using this tutorial to make your own!

8/6-- Test your creativity and re-write your favorite fairytale! Was Hook really all that bad? Were Little Red and the Wolf really friends? Or maybe you had a more "personal" experience with your favorite character. Write the story any way you want, there is no way to do it wrong!

8/7-- Have a shirt that just doesn't scream your personality? No problem! You can easily "littlize" your shirt or any other clothes using simple tutorials like this one or this one. Take a picture of your finished product and show off your style!

8/8-- Host a Silly Movie Night with friends, your caregiver, or even by yourself! Set up a comfy space, make some tasty popcorn, and put in a silly little movie! Here are some ideas:

  • Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

  • Wreck It Ralph

  • The Croods

8/9-- Do you hear those drums? Here come the bells and horns and whistels and, is that an elephant? Well, maybe not a real elephant but let's play parade! Make your own little instruments, costumes, and anything else you think makes a perfect parade and go play!

8/10-- Make "Sunday" cookies and play with your food! Use this recipe for cute hamburger cookies or this one for a cookie pizza!

8/12-- Let's have some fun with felt! Use some of these ideas to make your own toys, bows, keychains, or anything else you can think of- all out of felt!

8/13-- If you could make your own commercial, what would it be for? Maybe you think there should be "little friendly" adult diaper ads. Or maybe you want to make a fun, more adult video? Whatever you want to do, make a jingle, get some "actors", and make a commercial!

8/14-- Go on a little outing! Go on a picnic, to the park, or maybe just visit McDonald's. Whatever you think will make a good little day, do it! Get out the house and have some fun!

8/15-- Grab your stuffies or toys or make your own puppets for Play Day! Make a puppet theater and put on a show for your caregiver, your loved ones, or your toys using one of your favorite stories! Feeling really creative? Make up your own story and act it out.

8/16-- Time to wrap up the week, little ones! Have a little night tonight to wind down and get ready for the week ahead. By yourself or with your caregiver, go to the movies to see a movie you've been excited about and once it's over, wind down by eating a special snack and changing into your favorite pj's!

8/17-- Do you love beads? Well you’re in luck! Activities with beads is only limited by your imagination but today, let’s do something special. Make a beaded bracelet that describes your special personality or how you’re feeling today. But, you can’t use words! Only colors are needed for this activity! Use this chart to help you!

8/18-- It’s Make Believe Monday again! Remember the old story about Goldilocks and those 3 bears? Maybe it didn't happen the way they say it did. Get your friends, stuffies, or your caregiver and a camera and tell the story the way it really happened. Or at least the way you think it did!

8/19-- Today is Together Tuesday. Yes, it is the middle of the week, but take the time to relax with your caregiver, little one, or just with your stuffies! Do anything you want to do, be it taking a bath together, reading a story, or something a little more adult. Enjoy some time appreciating yourself or your partner!

8/20-- What little one doesn’t like a little mess? If you do, here are the instructions to make the most fun, messy without being messy slime ever! You need:

*1 bottle of Elmer’s school glue

*½ - ¾ cup of Sta-Flo liquid starch (can be found at Walmart)

*Liquid watercolors

*Fine glitter in your favorite colors

- To make: slowly, very slowly mix the starch into the glue. Add glitter and

paint. Do a “stretch test” to make sure it’s the consistency you want!

8/21-- If you’re like me, you have probably at some point wanted a pet that your caregiver wouldn’t let you have. So today, here is an easy project to make your own adorable sock bunny! Don’t like bunnies? Don’t worry! This pattern can be modified to fit your imagination.

8/22-- It’s the weekend again! And it’s hot! So, today is Ice Cream Day! And what makes it even more fun, is this recipe to make your own in a bag!

8/23-- Who doesn’t love Play Doh? Here is a fun, 5 minute homemade play doh recipe! Clear an area and have some fun!

10/12-- Let's make some boo-tiful bracelets for Halloween! It's super easy and just as cute! This would also be a great party activity for those of you planning to have a little gathering this month. This link also has two other really cool crafts.

10/13-- It's Monday the 13th! Do you know what that means? Me either but today is as a good a day as any to make some spooky crafts! Have some milk jugs that are taking up space? Use them to make friendly ghouls and ghosts by painting faces on them and putting tea lights inside. But don't use real candles! Be sure to use the battery operated lights.

10/14-- This Tuesday, do something special (and silly) just for you! But to make it a little more fun, you must include popcorn (cooked or uncooked), party hats, markers, paper and a flashlight! Do any silly or creative thing that comes to your mind!

10/15-- Here's a fun idea: make a haunted house! It's super easy to do and lots of fun! Use a cardboard box, markers, contruction paper, spider rings and cotton for webs. Let your imagination roam free!

10/16-- Carve a pumpkin with your caregiver or little sweetie! Not so good at carving? No problem! Paint on faces, use construction paper cut outs, or use a pumpkin decorating kit!

10/17-- Make a costume for Freaky Friday! Make masks, simple tutus, and capes! Make anything you want to dress up this Friday!

To make a no-sew tutu, you need:

  • Tulle, cut into strips of your desired length

  • Elastic or ribbon, measured to fit your waist

If using elastic, make sure the ends are attached. If using ribbon, make sure you measure enough to tie the ends when you're done. Using the stips of tulle, tie each piece to the elastic or ribbon by making a loop in the center of the tulle and pull the loose ends through the hole. Repeat until there is no more tulle. With ribbon, leave enough out to tie a bow when you put it on. Have fun!

10/18-- It's movie night again! Gather your pals, make some popcorn and watch a spooky movie! Confident*Little suggests these for a fun night.

  • Nightmare Before Christmas

  • ParaNorman

  • The Halloween Tree

Have fun little ones!
